All our aesthetic treatments are carried out by Gillian Armstrong. Gillian qualified as a nurse in 1982 working at Bolton General Hospital in acute Medicine until 1989 when she moved into community nursing for Bolton Community Trust eventually becoming District Nursing Sister. In 2005 she embarked on a new national role for health proffessionals Advanced Practitioner (MSc) in Primary Care. Gillian is also an Independant Non-Medical Prescriber which means she is able to prescribe medicines including injectable medicines.
Aesthetic medicine is an area of medicine that she has developed a passion for, Gillian provides the Gold Standard of recognized aesthetics treatments.
Each client has an individual consultation were they are encouraged to explore their expectations, concerns and together a clinical management plan is agreed. Supporting information is supplied to take away to digest.

Botox is just one of the brand names used for Botulinum toxin type A. In February 06, a license was given for the use of Botox for some cosmetic treatments. Since then it has been rebranded as Vistabel. In the UK the only product that has a license to treat frown lines (glabellar area) is Vistabel. Other areas of the face can be treated 'off license' and this has been done safely for over 10 years. Botulinum toxin type A blocks impulses that cause the facial mucsles to contract. The action is never permanent.

DERMAL FILLER TREATMENT(Restylane).

Restylane was launched in the uk in 1996. Made and distributed by Qmed is one of the most popular dermal fillers used in the uk and worldwide. The company stated that since 1996, more than 1,500,000 treatments have been sucessfully carried out all over the world.
Restylane is made from a cross linked hyaluronic acid similar to the body's own natural collagen. It is non animal in origin and does not require a patch test. The hyaluronic acid is eventually broken down over the months leaving no trace of the filler.
The gel is injected into the skin with a very fine needle; it plumps out the skin, filling lines, and deeper folds where skin has lost its elasticity and volume. To maintain the effect most clients chose to have a follow-up treatment six to twelve months later.
